    Ok I'm getting an laptop...

    Intel duo core 1.86 ghz
    2 gigs ddr2 ram
    ati radeon x1400 hypermemory

What settings will I be able to play at and how many FPS would I be getting? Can anyone tell me? thank you very much.

Oh yeah and another question. This may sound stupid but I'll ask it anyways... Battlefield 2142 doesn't support widescreen so does that mean I can't play it on my 15'4 widescreen laptop? Or will I be able to play it in normal screen resolution?

To answer your second question first.... You will be able to play on your 15.4 inch display but bf2142 will not support wide screen resolutions. Bf2142 should be able to run at least on medium graphics with 1024X768, if not more

I think its odd how it doesn't support wide screen resolution considering the rising amount of people who are switching to that aspect ratio. So what if it gives those with wide screens a slight advantage, many other games that support both standard and wide screen aspect ratio are even more affected than it, like counter strike source.

Considering that most games are focused on horizontal game play (you have to aim side to side, not up and down), you think they would support both in order to get more people to switch to wide screen. Not supporting wide screen seems like a bad decision in EA's part.

EA is pretty much nothing but bad decisions... they hardly upddate their games and they normally drop them after about 4 or 5 patches
