Okay, I am looking to buy a laptop, and I realized i probably dont have the money to purchase a good gaming laptop, so I need to know if i were to buy a laptop with the Quadro NVS 140M 128MB, would i be able to play games like WoW and CS:S? Also, would i be able to play those games with a X3100 integrated graphics card?

I used to have a Toshiba with the Intel integrated GMA950.. Which is much older then the X1300... It ran WoW with no problem just dont try an max out the video settings.. But since the Video uses your Ram.. You need at least 2gb especially if your running Vista.. I would also imagine it could run CS:S Decent.. As long as your resolution isnt to high.. I would suggest with either of those cards to disable Vista's Aero.. Should give a nice boost.. Good luck!

the x3100 is no good for gaming

the quadro is optimized for opengl but is based on a 8400m

But.. I know the integrated graphics can run WoW pretty well.. But if you dont have the money for anything a little more powerful.. Its just going to have to do! But it will run WoW with no issues

The Quadro NVS 140m is a CAD-optimized 8400M-GT, which will run games well at low-medium settings.

Will the quadro still run WoW at high-medium settings or not? In other words, which one is the better choice..

I played WoW on a HP 6707 with a Nvidia 7150m and it was horrible! Played in windowed mode with all setting at the lowest setting and overclocked the card from 425 to 520 core clock and it would get anywhere from 15-28 FPS, all while looking horrible. With the new expansion coming out with some improved graphics i imagine that integrated cards are not going to cut it even with a game like WoW.
