    Core 2 duo 2.0ghz
    2 gigs of RAM
    8600m GT.
    Vista

I think I'm somewhere in between the min and recommended specs. I guess what I'm mostly curious about is the video card and how that would fare. Also, would adding an extra 2 gigs of RAM help significantly? Thanks for any advice.

I think it will definitely handle the game, though not at Max settings.

I have a very similar laptop (the Compal JFL92) and given Bioware's track record at stating system requirements, I'm thinking somewhere between medium and high at 1280x800 (native resolution of my display). What resolution do you intend to play at?

My screen is 1680x1050, but I would probably run it at 1280x800ish.

Oh, really? I was expecting maybe med-low specs.

Maybe I'll just upgrade my laptop then.

Also, I'll be on windows 7 when I actually get the game I suppose, so that might help the performance when compared to vista?

You're just above minimum, but you'll run it fine at 1280x200, medium. I think.

I heard that 1280x720 16:9 is pretty wide already, but 1280x200 32:5 is insane, haha.
