    The performance difference will hardly be noticable. There is only a ~10% difference in the pixel count on those 2 resolutions so you won't even need to change any settings.

    I cant belive how many positive reviews that monitor has. It is cheap, must be great bang for the buck. 300cd/m2 is average I think, they say at 800cd/m2 you can see your screen in direct sunlight. It has hdmi, vga, and dvi. Has all the connections you will need for just about everything besides display port. 5ms will be adaquet for gaming as can get lower but really is not nessasary.

    Thats what I thought. The resolution was lower so I suspected it wouldn't be much, if not any.

    performance won,t change much but if you got used to 16x10 you might be anoyed by 16x9

    try using the laptop on a lcd tv befor to see if you are comfortable

    Its the other way around for me :p used 16x9 a lot before getting an alienware.
