I played halo 2 up until 6 months ago when I quit because there hardly any good servers.
I'm thinking about buying a copy and giving it another try.
But does anyone here still play it? Are there less servers now?

I use to play but I bet there is more servers just because Windows Live Gold is free so all servers are going to be open for everyone playing it. Its a crazy concept but its true.

Wait, you had to pay to play a PC game online that wasn't an MMO?

Windows live was like xbox live. You had a gold account or a silver. A sliver would let you play online but you could not unlock achivments or make your own servers. Thats why they made it free charging 50 a year to make your own servers and unlocking achivments was not worth it. I just used my xbox live account so it did not matter for me but yes there are quite a few people still playing Halo 2 vista including me!
