Looked at the review and it looks interesting. Very independent but dark and almost like Salad Fingers; if anyone knows that cult internet cartoon. How is it? How do the graphics look, how does it play? The concept of constantly dying sounds annoying as I am mostly a FPS person but am looking to diversify my library.

I really liked it a lot, great ending too and the puzzles were pretty good.

Oh so awesome, thanks for creating this thread. I wanted to say this was a 360 exclusive since the developer claimed they had no interest in porting it to PC for so long. I went to verify and behold! So excited! I'll be downloading this now!

Been waiting for this to be ported to PC for a VERY LONG TIME! By far the game I wanted to play the most. Not Rage, not BF3, not Witcher 2, Super Meat Boy etc. This was the game that had my attention from all the reviews and then so sad when I saw 360 exclusive.

Let you know what I think of it tomorrow, as I'll be playing this for sure tonight!

The game is awesome and nerve racking because at anytime death is right around the corner. Oh and it was recently released for the PS3 and PC as well.

I got it on PSN because I didn't know it was coming to Steam and its honestly probably a better gaming experience on my tv. The game lends itself to lounging back and enjoying more like a movie.

That said its a great game. The graphics, the controls, the atmosphere, the music, the surprisingly dark and frequent deaths, and the puzzles are top notch. I never felt like I was playing just another game, its unique. If you have a good friend or significant other that likes games its even fun to watch and try to figure out the puzzles. But it is pretty short and offers no real replay value (no scores). This is my favorite platform or puzzle game since Super Meat Boy.

Edit: Just re-read your post. Constantly dying is all about perspective, I did not find it annoying or distracting. Yes you die way more than is typical in a single player game but way less than a game like Super Meat Boy. I mean technically I die way more often playing MP CoD. Also the game is really great with its checkpoints, if you get to hard part that requires timing and keep dying I doubt that it will take you back more than 10-15 seconds when you respawn and there is no set amount of lives so no game over.

Limbo is a great game but its not the longest and it doesn't offer much replay value. I beat it and played it once after. So overall you're better just playing it at a friends house who has it. But if you have the money to spend and you think you'll like it, go for it. It's a good game.

As for graphics, its very dark and ominous. The ambient noise and no soundtrack add to its creepiness. It plays side to side and has some pretty unique, crazy, and cool puzzles. Overall I would rate it a 7/10 for not having much replay value. Watch some reviews on YouTube though. That'll help you decide.

Limbo is one my favorite games from this generation, it oozes atmosphere and kept me completely enthralled with the game play and puzzles. I was thoroughly hooked after just a few minutes of playing. The light and dark elements creates an atmosphere that would keep me on pins and needles at times, and I was very much obsessed with deducting or progressing when I'd get stuck.

For me personally, it was an extremely visceral and addicting experience. The physic segments in particular are pretty mind blowing and well worth the price of admission. I just wished the game was longer, but that can be said about any game that you don't want to end.

Reminded me of Alice in Wonderland meets H.P. Lovecraft.

Definitely try the demo first. I played and beat it, but it wasn't that good to me. I love the atmosphere and style, yet the gameplay was so-so. I enjoy games where there is more than one possible solution to a situation. However, with Limbo I felt forced into solving the puzzle exactly how the designers wanted you to solve it. The gameplay felt too confining. That said, I can recognize that for the people that enjoy this type of game, it is a great one.

Same here, I also didn't really like the ending but that's just me. Finished it in 3-4 hours and I would say it's definitely a unique and interesting game, but a bit too short imo. :)

$60 for a game that lasts 12 hours or $10 for a game that lasts 4 hours or $10 for a 90 minute movie. All about perspective :D

I don't pay 60 for a game that lasts 12 hours... I never would. It's called buy a game with replay value. And why buy a movie when there's things like netflix and redbox?
