That thing is almost bottom of the barrel when it comes to graphics. Newest games will not run, newish games will run at low resolution and settings.

For future reference, this link (at the top of this forum) compares graphics cards. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=39568

Mmm. Thought so. Although I did read some threads and reviews where the Xpress 200m ran HL2 okay on medium settings with no AA or AF. Still think I might get it. Could run CS 1.6 okay I reckon :)

its got shared memory, thats the reason. You saw threads that said it played HL2 and such, because those are the ones with 128mb dedicated video memory.

Yeh my friend has that same exact video card. He can run counter strike source on everything on low with about 20 fps. He also has a gig of ram. You can probraly get the same deal if you went to a dell or a hp with better graphics and everything. Let me know if you need more help!

I had the same problem living in the UK, the dell deals are much worse, I got an Acer, 3023 but I don't think it's avail any more. Maybe you could check out some acers?, I can't recomend any as im not too sure which ones they sell there.

Already posted this in the huge 200M thread but...

I have the 200M 128mb SHARED video card (1.8ghz Turion64 ml32, upgraded from 384 to 640 RAM). As you can see HL2 runs just fine at these settings, completely playable (20-30fps). Load times are about 20 seconds a piece which kinda sucks, but you get used to it and playing this game is worth the waiting. I guess if what i consider playable is different from what you think, then just lower the res to 1024x768 or 800x600 and you can also set the texture/model settings to the recommended high setting and get a constant 30fps rate.

Hold up man. After reading the site you posted and then after googling it, that computer comes with the 32mb shared version of the 200M, probably the worst option available. Look for the 128mb shared and 128mb dedicated is even better. Or shop around for one that comes with an even better video card, although I'm sure it may cost you a bit more but it could be worth it for you.

    just get a Quanta KN1-PM from www.istnc.com
you can configure it with a celeron M processor and it will only cost you around 800 dollars, but with the added bonus of a go6600 card, which is about 90 times better than a x200m with 32mb shared.

    here is the link:

PS: after the $100 coupon ofcorse!!!
