Hp Dv6, A8 3530MX Dual Grahpics Issue

Hey Guys i could really do with some help, Long story short,

I brought a laptop 6 months ago from comet (HP dv6) And i brought it because i wanted to get into some basic gaming again and it seemed a half decent notebook that would do that.

The setup is

AMD A8 3530MX Quad core 2.5ghz, AMD Radeon HD 6620G & 7890M HD, Dual Graphics. 8GB Ram.

I installed cod1 the other day (First game i have installed i have had the laptop for 6 months but have never got round to installing games on it)

And i can only seem to get 77fps MAX on ultra low settings on call of duty 1!

Im no expert but surely that cant be right? I have also installed ATI Engine Centre, but that can only seem to detect the one 6620g card, but even so, surely that on its own should get more then 77fps on a game made in 2001!?

Any help right now would be great, as comet has shutdown so im pretty stuck!

 

So what drivers do you have installed? Older or newer?
Have you tried the 12.11 beta drivers?
Have you tried other games (prefferably more recent) to see how the usual performance is?
It could be a case of incompatibility or bad optimization.
