Holy cow!
Thank you so much for this info. These games are great individually. But getting them as a Humble Bundle package is just icing on the cake. -
Doesent look like a game i would want to play, so its a pass for me.
But thanks for sharing the news. -
I am so excited, I've been wanting to try Frozen Synapse, definitely going to be picking this one up.

A new game was added to the bundle, TRAUMA. I don't know much about this game though, has anyone played it?

It takes 20 minutes to complete it..... You just click to move through a small landscape that is basically 20 pictures that take it to it and you click on photos you see in those photos that tell you how to draw a simple line or curl with your mouse to complete the level....

Another game was added to the bundle, this time it is SpaceChem. If you haven't played SpaceChem it is an awesome puzzle game that is kind of like programming with chemicals. Definitely a great addition to the bundle.

Just what we need, more TF2 items. Its transforming into a first person shooter version of world of warcraft.
I have given up on that game now, you can play for fun and win with skill you have to farm/own the best items to stand a chance and thats not a commitment I am making for a game that used to be the prime example of a fun pick up and play game. -
For starters, unlockable weapons in TF2 are not upgrades; they are simply viable alternatives. Nine times out of ten, the original/stock weapon is the best choice for the majority of situations. Secondly, every single weapon that is an actual functional unlock (i.e. not a reskin of another weapon) can be acquired for free either via in-game achievement rewards, random drops or crafting of metal made from extra randomly dropped weapons. And even if you don't feel like earning achievements or waiting to build up enough metal to craft your weapon of choice, you can just trade with another player who has an extra one...hell, a lot of players with duplicate weapons will give them away for a single scrap metal or so.
As for being a "pick up and play" game, it's FREE now. It's hard to get more accessible than that. Anyone with a Steam account (which is also free) can download and play the full game. Every map, every weapon and item is available. The only difference is, free players have limited backpack space for items, and cannot give items in trades, only receive. That said, a free player can upgrade to a premium account and enjoy all the same privileges as someone who paid $30 for the game years ago by making a single purchase from the in-game store...that means you can literally spend 49 cents to become a premium player and unlock backpack space and full trading ability. So yeah, if anything, TF2 is more accessible now than it has ever been.
tl;dr - a brand new player with all stock loadout items is at no disadvantage to a veteran player with every unlock (in terms of equipment only, not skill/experience). Most older players use pretty much exclusively the stock weapons, and competitive TF2 leagues, with few exceptions, use mostly stock weapons as well. And every single weapon is obtainable for free, even if you have to invest some time.
Sorry for the off-topic rant, but TF2 is one of my favorite games of all time and I just wish to set the record straight. -
Spacechem ain't showing on my steam library...
Edit: ups... is a separate key... nevermind -
^^^^This. Stock weapons are the most balanced and usually the best. Unlock weapons could have a benefit in 1 area, but have a equal disadvantage in another. Valve also made it so all unlock weapons can be obtained for free by either the "crafting" method or "drop" method.
I too LOVE TF2!!! Been a TF fan since TFC. Only wish they brought back grenades -
