    Hey,

I currently own a Benq Joybook S42 with Hybrid Graphics, the problem is upon trying to update my graphics card drivers, I removed the feature and had to system restore because I lost all access to my card. I have read the tutorial on updating the drivers, but it does not cover people with Hybrid Graphics. I am just wondering if anyone has any solutions or advice to offer.

    Thanks,

    -RR

I would suggest that you simply reinstall the original drivers for now.
I do not believe the Joybook S42 has any modded drivers available yet.
In the future, nVidia has said they will support the S42 in their generic mobile drivers.
If you want to, there are some slightly updated video drivers on the BenQ support site, but they do not support CUDA if that is what you wanted to use.

Thanks, it does appear like I will simply have to wait for either Nvidia to release updated drivers, or for someone to release updated Hybrid ones. Thanks again.

Dox 185.85 supports Joybook S42 hybrid graphics; drivers are for Vista and Windows 7. However I experience random (ie I'm not sure why or when it will occur) freezing when I leave the computer idle. So I'm back to stock drivers.

Also there is a half dead Joybook S42 thread.
