It's on sale right now, along with Rayman Origins and From Dust, for the Steam Ubisoft Weekend.

Any opinions on I Am Alive? It looks potentially intriguing and potentially mediocre, but it's not likely to drop below the current price anytime soon.

I would say mediocre is a compliment for this game. I only played the demo, but it was enough to keep me away. It does have an interesting premise, but the execution is seriously flawed.

Stay far away from "I am Alive." It has issues for lots of users: stuttering, lag in mouse control (big lag too). "potentially intriguing and potentially mediocre": you've almost got it: it's more like potentially intriguing but mediocre. Game play is very closed off; it could have been much more.

For some reason I kept thinking this game was 'The Last of Us'. But no don't get it, just watch some gameplay videos and you'll see what it's like. Also I think this is one of those games that was in development for a long time and probably scrapped a lot of ideas and went through drastic changes (Aliens: Colonial Marines anyone?).
