Whenever i try updating Graphic drivers on my Vista screwed comp...the screen goes blank on reboot...i tried all graphic drivers...the tried WHQL also, i tried most stable also..

Methods:
1. Have Disk
2. Used Driver cleaner also
3. Used Safe mode also.
4. Restarted comp each time.
Everytime i am forced to return to factory driver i.e. 98.15
BUT ..the same drivers work on XP laptop & give great performance.
So, Anyone knows a hotfix for Vista-Basic 32-bit? Does SP1 Solve these problems?
Or should i finally say Vista good bye?
My laptop is great (check signature)...GPU is great for HL & HL2 mods...
Its just that Vista is causing problems
