    I Found It! Temp Reader with 16x.xx Drivers

    Finally, I had been annoy by the fact that the failure of Rivatuner at reading molbile 8xxx card temperature if you have 163.44 or above driver installed.
    I found this great utility by Christian Diefer. It's called i8kFan Control. Yes It is made for Dell user main and made to control the fan speed, but it also has option of just reading temperatures. So far it reports all the temperatures correctly(CPU, GPU), and of course you can use it to make the laptop cooler while gaming. :)

    EDIT: I found that the temperature readings were only correct after I applied offsets. Vostro 1500 requires -14 on CPU temp, and +8 on GPU temp.

    Why not just use Nvidia Monitor if all you're doing is watching temps?

    Hmm? My rivatuner can monitor my gpu's temp well even with driver that it don't support.

    i've been having the same problem with 163.xx drivers, rivatuner hardware monitor doesn't work, and i've tried everything

    what about ntune? i tried it on mine and it didn't work. it does have the temperature section in it though.
