I have tried posting this in the tablet forums but I haven't gotten any answers in 48 hours so I decided to post this here where more people frequent.
This is my Fujitsu T4220 setup:
Windows Vista Ultimate
T7300 2.0Ghz Core 2 Duo
60GB HDD
4Gb Ram
Integrated X3100 Graphics
I did a review for my tablet back in July when I bought this machine and my 3d mark score was 861 but that was before even the beta drivers for the X3100 came out. I downloaded the latest intel drivers to try and get a performance boost and for some reason my 3d mark scores have taken a turn for the worse, they are now in the 570 range. I can't do pretty much anything graphically intensive. I have tried mostly everything beyond a complete system-restore which I won't be doing because I have finals coming soon and don't want to deal with possibly losing files.
I know the X3100 isn't THAT powerful but I am getting about 8 fps in WOW with the settings turned all the way down and my 3d mark score is in the 570's. Can anyone help me please....
Thanks.

Is the laptop in performance mode?
-
Sadly, yes. I have tried in multiple power setups and aside from the even worse performance in my mobile setup the 574 is the highest I can get. It drops as low as 460 in some of the options I have set up.

I may be wrong, but you really can't expect too much out of an integrated graphics card. Usu. a dedicated GFX card is the way to go.
Try running 3DMark05, and you should see yourself score in the 2000s or so. -
Well I know I can't expect too much but this same integrated card was performing twice as well on alpha drivers four months ago. When I try to update to final release drivers I drop hard core to the point where absolutely nothing is playable. I won't be running Crysis but I should be able to play World of Warcraft on low settings at more than 8-10 fps... I was doing it a week ago on crap drivers.
Besides the version of 3dmark is irrelevant because it isn't the score that is bothersome, that is just a means to measure how far I have dropped away from where I should be.
I see other people with slower setups than my own pushing 1,000 with the X3100 I shouldn't be at 574... -
then get the old drivers if they worked better.... seems obvious.
-
I wouldn't be here asking for help if it was something that easily fixed... don't color me a moron because I'm not one.
-
did u really try reinstalling the drivers, though? i don't think it is a hardware problem. try doing a clean install, as system restore, i believe, still leaves some traces of old drivers.

Your system is screwed up. The x3100 EASILY runs WOW. Your system is screwed up and since we dont have your laptop in front of me nither I or anyone else can help you as it can be a MILLION different things wrong and you'll spend months in a forum playing "2 million questions" to fix your problem.
Get someone who knows computers to look at it or backup your data do a system restore. Finish your finals and do the restore. Forget WOW and study!

I re-installed the alpha drivers, un-installed and tried with the beta drivers, and repeated the process with the newest driver release running the 3dmark test after each change. The scores haven't gone up or down it is like nothing is actually taking effect.
Yeah I have tried many things but there are some known issues with Fujitsu and IBM laptops/tablets and I was hoping this might have been one of them. I'm sure the problem could be a quick fix with a clean install so I guess after finals I will do as you suggested... thanks for the help. -
I'm sorry, I aplogize. I didn't completely read it, and so I didn't see that you had already ran it before.
You should definitely do a driver roll back or something. -
My 6600 non gt (desktop) gets around 750 points in 3dmark 06. Does that mean that its about as powerful as the x3100?
I am getting a 574 on 3d mark 06
