    its been announced for a while now, some think its great, but IMO the flames on the backside should be more realistic..

    also the thing is not cheap at all. 3500$...

    Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. When I first saw this laptop, my first reaction was: this is the ugliest laptop I have ever seen. I appreciate and am grateful for the fact that toshiba is willing to gamble and try something new stylistically, but this laptop is really grating to my eyes.This is just my opinion and I mean no offense to your personal taste from it. It's just a matter of personal opinion.

    And thank you for saving me the trouble of typing my opinion, I pretty much feel the same.

    As for competing with the XPS or M17X, it probably can't. With a single 9800M GTX, it doesn't seem likely that it would beat the SLI 8800M GTX in the XPS or M17X. Still, that remains to be seen of course.

    um... the link was just to a site with a drawing render of the laptop. there isn't even a real product picture. I'm not an xps owner but this is one of the ugliest laptop I've seen, maybe I'll take a second look if I was some teen back in the days.

    Nah this one will not compete with a 8800m GTX SLI XPS M1730.

    Ugly? I think it is better you see the laptop in person than judging from pictures how it looks like. I own one myself and though first when I saw it on various webpages it didn´t look good.

    But oh man when it arrived at my house I just said wow. It surely looks amazing, amongst the better looking laptops out there and all lights is just a bonus especially the lit up keyboard.

    That Toshiba is way way too overpriced. Even Dell´s newest XPS with probably 9800m GTX SLI won´t be that expensive if and when they release it.

    I dont trust Toshiba putting a 9800GTX in there, it'll be like a hot potato for something like 5% performance over a 8800GTX, on the other side, the Dell m1730 is one of the coolest machines ive ever seen, (Cool on the looks, and Cool on the heat).

    Hmm they say 9800m GTX SLI, well if that is the case then yes. However I read on another page they will have only a single 9800m GTX. Though I would like to now how they succeed with cooling. I have my doubts on this one and no envy from a XPS M1730 owner, all is entitled to their own opinion.

    Wow KGann that is almost a pocket size notebook with Tri SLI 9800m GTX, ha ha. Nah seriously it would be nice if Toshiba could compete, though this is the only page I have read that it would have SLI. Other pages just state a single 9800m GTX and a co Cell processor.

    Well i know i make tons of stupid topics and thread here but that just something i do for fun at work when i am bored. I actually work with webdesign and stuff like that, so iam not really as stupid as some of my posts seems to be here. Am just a guy joking around and bored at work :D
