The save system is HORRENDOUS. I got pretty far, only to have a friend start a new file and me having to start ALL THE WAY in the beginning again. Then, when I finally got back to my old spot, Vegas screwed up in saving my checkpoint, so I'm back in the beginning AGAIN.

Why? Why not allow multiple profiles?

Unfortunately they don't mention the 1.03 patch fixed any problems like this on their website. Maybe just re-instal the game...

p.s. MGS2392, This has nothing to do with your question, but do you play vegas on your nx9420?

Yea, it kinda barely runs. It's somewhat smooth at 800*600, medium shadows, no motion blur. It runs smooth for the most part, but chokes up here and there (which, of course, is really annoying).

Hey MGS2392, that seems weird that Vegas chokes out on you... It only stalls a bit for the first little bit when I hide behind a wall, but after that it is quite slow and rarely stalls and or freezes. I agree that saves aren't really well made but you should try some multiplayer, lots of fun to be had there as well...

Vegas was designed for consoles. The PC version of the game has many problems as far as I know. The same can be said with Splinter Cell: Double Agent.

It's a shame really, Ubisoft released lots of good games this year, but they were only really good on the Xbox360.

He's got an nx9420 like me (but with a faster processor and bigger HDD). I mean, it does choke a bit in the beginning, but it gets choppy in big areas with a bunch of action.

Even the console version of Vegas has widespread problems. A friend of mine can't play it over XBox live and he recently got fed up with it and called Ubisoft tech and they told him tons of people are having the same problem. They have never been any good at writing net code but this borders on ridiculous...

Raven Shield worked fine for me. And it runs exceptionally well (AND it supports widescreen! Where is the love UBI?), ran it at 1440*900 maxed out.

Raven Shield was great but it still didn't work well online for a while. And Rogue Spear was probably the most patchy though I loved that host system. I'd get on and snag room 1 then play custom maps for an entire afternoon, built up quite a regular following in that game.

Raven Shield was a wonderful upgrade in graphics and I felt it was easier to set missions up but I couldn't take it online because of all the campers.
