What type of games? FPS? RTS? MMORPG?

I'd add Civilization 4 to the list, as well as good ole WarCraft 3 :)

BattleFront 2 - just finished that yesterday, it has an awesome campaign.

Also a big fan of CS:S, that's worth getting.

FEAR..well, the graphics are impressive, but I'm not thrilled with the whole gameplay/storyline.

Yes - Battlefield 2 is great!

haha, my old radeon 7200 in my desktop could push 60+fps with gotye. havent tried it with my 6800 though but unreal 2004, the 6800 gets an avg of 110-120fps so gotye would hopefully be higher

Not anymore they don't!!! Sure they don't offer SLI or Crossfire but some laptops are more than fast enough with the Ati x700, x800, and the Nvidia 6800, and now the 7800.

If you like MMORPGs, Check out City of Heroes/City of Villains.

A Great pair of games, and doesn't demand long stretches of time like some other MMORPGs do.

If you have a Dell XPS M170 then get whatever you want. It should be able to play any games out there right now quite well. I like the Star Wars: Jedi Knight and Jedi Academy games myself.
