I am using the radeon 9600 once i install the Catalyst 6.8 why under the infromation in catalyst still showing 0.67 version
Btw once i run the PC mark 05 the 3d - Pixel shader will show fail i did uninstall the driver before i install the 6.8 is there have any one got some ideal what is this all about thanks.![]()

Oh, everyone experienes that problem. It's a error made by the ATI team. Don't worry about it.

Yeah for me it shows it as 6.7 also even though they are 6.8.

yeah I am having issues with a game crashing for no reason. UT2004 crashed for the first time ever, the other day. Funny thing is I used to play UT2004 on my intel extreme graphics with only minor lag and zero crashes. As far as the pixel shader goes, are you sure the card you have has the right shader model?

for me it wont even install on a fresh xp installation

I also think 6.8 are unstable. Many different problems now and then from BSOD after driver install to lockups with normal frequency changes in NHC. Movie playback freezes if I downclock the GPU and MEM. It works fine with 6.3 for example!

I had one BSOD with 6.8, otherwise they are fine.
I advise against installing the CCC, and just install the driver, then download and install ATI Tray Tools, for CCC options at much less of a system resource. -
i installed the .NET framework first lol 6.7 works just fine for the time being
