    i downloaded 6.8 driver for ati but the catalyst control still says 6.7. is this a typo or my laptop is messed up? i unstalled my 6.7 before i installed 6.8. so i don't know what's wrong.

    No, its fine, its a bug.

    Most people with Cats 6.8 say it shows that they have 6.7.

    I have the same issue after a full, complete, clean install of drivers.
