    Okay, if i bought the following laptop, is there any way that in the future i could upgrade this to a nVIDIA 8600GT?

    Most, almost all, laptops dont have the ability to have the GPU upgraded. In this case, MAYBE, im not sure though, is that card intergrated or deticated? Intergrated: Definite no, Deticated: MAYBE yes.

    The Quadro's are dedicated, but I don't think the Thinkpads have MXM (the technology that allows you to swap video cards).

    Correct me if I'm wrong guys :)

    yeah... the NVS 140M IS the 8600m gt... but with unlocked and better supported openGL features.. and Drivers optimized for openGL

    if you want better gaming performance just install regular drivers

    death mx, short answer is no, long answer is no. Answer by a techi is extremely complicated and relies on what video cards the manufacturer designed the laptop for as possible upgrades.
