I downloaded Sonic Generations earlier today, but I am not able to run it. I need to run the Configuration Tools option, but for some reason, my laptop will not even open up the program in question! Here are the (relevant) specs for my laptop:

    Intel Celeron CPU (2.00 GHz)

2 GB RAM (1.74 GB usable)

    64-bit Operating System

    Windows 7 Home Premium

If anyone can help me try to get this program to run, I would appreciate it.

You might want to head over to the steam forum for help. I don't think you're the only one having this issue.

Steam's forum is currently down, but here's the URL for their forum.

I'm not sure how many NBR members have the game let alone how many of them have similar issues.

I doubt you can run it.
So far minimum requirements are a dual core cpu, and a shaders model 3.0 capable gpu card.
Probably youre on a gma965 or something like that? Thats explains why it doesnt even launch.

Yeah, your specs are a bit low to run this game.

Why are you running a 64 bit OS with only 2 GB of RAM?

probably because it came with a 64 bit OS installed. In any case, unless you had a very specific reason for running a 32 bit OS, 64 is the way to go. There are no significant downsides. It is faster and more secure than the 32 bit version, even with 2 GB of memory. If you decide to upgrade to 4GB+ ram in the future, you won't have to reinstall the operating system. Simple.
