finally completed the campaign5 days total, two of which I played a lot, like 8 hours or so.
good game indeed, many missions ..
I played it on my laptop, with external monitor, KBD, mouse. And headphones too.
cheersOne more down.

Yea it took me like a week and I didn't even do most of the side missions...
-
Congrats.
One question though. How is the multiplayer turnout for the game? I have it on the X360 but I feel the maturity lvl is that of a 12 year old. I wanted to know if there is some good multiplayer turn out because I love making maps. -
is this farcry 1 or 2?
-
Yeah man congrats. I'm still at around 26% or around there after a week. It takes me a mega long time to play this game.
-
99.9% sure its 2 because FarCry 1 was not very hard to beat, or did not take as long because it had a guided single player campaign where in 2 you can go around and do other stuff.
-
its indeed Farcry 2.. Side missions, Completion percentage..
-
no no, it's Farcry 1 ... dang :|
I was about to ask if FarCry 2 is about that long too -
Maybe I should try out Far Cry 1 sometimes myself! Since it seems that you have had a lot of fun playing it.
-
Might as well check out Circuit City before they liquidate, when I bought Far Cry 2 they included a copy of FC 1 (free LEGAL!!! download).
But yeah, FC 1 was a very good game and it was rather lengthy. I didn't dislike the trigens though. -
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
lol far cry 1 had that pain in the arse boss at the end that you had to shoot like 500,000 times and he kept running around on that stupid cliff thing
-
There was an ad supported free version of FarCry available from ubisoft, but I'm not sure if it's still going on. I think I'm going to go back and beat the game, it is really fun, and I don't remember actually beating it, even though I have two copies of it sitting on my shelf for some odd reason..
-
Looking at his laptop's specs, I was sure it was the original FarCry.
-
Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
FC1 is one of my all time fave games. It is very long for a FPS on rails. The AI is pretty good although sometimes too good, lol. I highly recommend getting the 64bit extra content pack (there is a 32bit version now too) which really beefs up the models and textures. Also enabling HDR in the cfg files helps too, just make sure AA is disabled with HDR or it will corrupt the graphics. The game still looks great imo with these tweaks. You can learn all about it at tweakguides.

its still available i believe, check gamershell.com
-
For some reason in my case, the game looks all whitish under any drivers apart from the oem display drivers.
-
i'm downloading it now
-
Yeah when I get home from work I will be downloading it....how long is it taking?
-
what's with my laptop specs ... lol ... the gpu is overclocked at 600/900 core/memory, does like 2300 marks on 3DMark06 at the standard test resolution that I don't use. That beats the stock 14" T61p
I think I could play almost anything, even if I have to lower to 1024x768 with some medium details.
I played the game at 1400x1050 at low details though, it only slowed a bit when I activated the night vision - which was pretty cool anyways and I used it during the day also
-
If you do get the ad supported version of Far Cry 1, just run FRAPS and ads disappear. Don't know why, don't care. Although own two copies (one CD and one Steam).
-
Havey you finished the Intel bonus missions?
-
LOL we were just talking about this game in a different thread. Where can i find the 64-bit version of this game? I have the 32bit, but im interested to see the difference of the two.
-
Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
