I modified Cat 12.11 b11 and gained 6fps in crysis 1 and vantage went up a few hundred

I edited cat 12.11 and saw some gains on all games. how do I share it with you guys?

 

screenshot your settings or describe what you tweaked? That is the only way I can really think of to share it.

Well, some1 knowing how to edit drivers, but doesnt nkow where he can upload his driver to be shared, that just seems odd to me, but who nkows

I tried posting it here but my internet explorer froze. its not a complex tweak its similar to tweaking not hacking.

every card is different and it may not work for your card or it may work wonders.

install cat 12.11 beta 11 then go to c:/amd/cat 12.11 b11/packages/drivers/display/w86a_inf/(C7150272)

open the C7150272 setup info file and edit your cards setting by finding the section that entails yours cards settings

set theater mode to 0
set ans_def to 0
aet aa_def to 0
set noice reduction and block write to 0 or delete the line

then save

below the config file is the installer open it and rebbot when the display driver is installed

also feel free to lower as many settings as possuble except LOD as the other dont impact IQ

I tweaked it a few times the first time I gained like 200-300 vantage gpu points and crysis went from 57fps to 63.6 fps in the benchmark

I wont post my file because I don't want the haters to say it doesnt work ect when it does and has to
..i guess I could try tweaking it again and post what I tweaked in more depth.

ps when i did tweak it i opened farcry 3 and could not reaad the text because i accidentely lowered the LOD too much. so I had to start from scratch. and I cant seem to get the performance back. I will however succeed and post it here when its back.

actually something interesting with betas...they dont enable all optimizations but its however possible to activate them if you know what your doing.

I have great news for win7 ati dudes...I finally tweaked it good this time..I gained an extra 2 fps on top of my old config.

I have the driver files saved to my desktop in a folder and I would like to share the driver with you guys..my next post will be the x32993x drivers release download link with instructions.

ps at 833/1060 I scored 15750 in gpu vantage..normally that takes an overclock of 854/1070. pretty RAD ehhh..

1) download and install cat 12.11b11
2) download this : c7150272.cat download - 2shared
C7150272.inf download - 2shared
C7150272.msi download - 2shared
3) place files and overwrite in c:/amd/12.11b11/packages/drivers/display/w86a_inf
4) double click and run C7150272 installer package

enjoy

ps when using an overclock performance s improved and when play certain games performance is increased, at stock the difference is negligable so dont decide on stock run of vantage to test them out.

ps I was never able to break 16000 gpu on vantage but im going to try then ill post a pic if my tweak allows it...crossing fingers

overclocked im getting 25-30 which is amazing when before tweaks I was averaging 18fps during movement.

im sitting 8 feet back from a 47in 1080p 3d tv passive lg, and run at 720p because 1080p details do not show at this distance as they fade at about 3-4 feet back..so in the end with the dumb route i picked, i get to game maxed out for 3 years vs 1 and get to play all games in 3d.

 

It's out, and so is 13.2 Beta.

 

I just tried 13.2 with far cry 3 and my low at a spot was 16fps with my tweaked drivers it was 20fps and thats a pretty huge percentage increase

so as it stands

x32993x 12.11 driver >>>13.2 beta

edit. I tweak drivers better than most people and no one cares about a 25 percent increase in farcry 3

the 6990m with stock ati drivers cannot max farcry 3 with my tweaked drivers im averages 28fps which i find perfectly playable

 

A 7970m would play it at 50-60 instead of 30. Plus you get a backlit keyboard and other goodies. Or you could have gone Alienware, which can game in 3D.

Not working for me with Windows8. I replaced the files when i click the .msi it says this is not compatible with the platform of windows im using. Any idea on how to get this to work?

edit I broke 16100 with 862/1060 and before the highest i got was 15750 now with stable gaming overclock and improved performance I can max all games if i turn off AA



this is higher showing how the drivers make a small difference in vantage.

however its games that improve, I had to underclock to 600/800 to match cat 13.2 833/1060. thats 233 on the core. thats just it...improve drivers AMD and we wont need to overclock.

Amd can give us quite a bit more performance but I have no clue as to why they don't

now I have proof.

I installed 12.11b11 again and tried farcry 3 and tried getting the lowest framerate I could at a particular spot. heres the pictures showing the gains notice it went from 18 to 20-21 thats like multiplying by 1.15 or 15 percent increase or like overlocking an extra 15 percent from say 25p to 40%p. pretty huge difference.

if you were getting 30fps now you will be getting 34.5fps which can make it more playable and enjoyable experience.

That's False, I've been able to use the TriDef 3D (DDD) software for gaming in 3D, I have a Samsung TV with active shutter 3D. The only problem with the enduro setup is that the TriDef software seems to have problems with the HD4000 drivers for outputting the hdmi 1.4 3D signal, yet you can deal with the other output formats like Side by Side, Top & Bottom, Interlaced, etc...

 

Why don't you play your games instead of posting threads with screenshots and fps all the time?

thats the lowest fps and only lasts a second during gameplay, it averages 30fps...good enough for me yet you still post things that are personal to me but you make it your interest because you have no L....

for the other users with ati cards and from trinity users Im working on a driver tweak from scratch and so far Iv'e gained 200 points in vantage with it, and thats after editing 6/500 commands. so there is hope that you could see a major jump in performance if you guys are (ati users) interested.

btw its not easy tweaking drivers as they can cause crashing and blue screens if tweaked incorrectly and im no amd programmer. and failwheel drive I really do enjoy your posts please chime in at anytime.

this is a forum and I don't mind answering peoples questions ect even small arguements can be useful for people not registered nbr users that are reading and analysing the thread.

Wait, the purpose of those 2 pictures is to show the score from 848MHz vs the score from 859MHz? Or you were saying you got P16320 @ 859/1060 with the new driver instead of getting P15750 @ 859/1060 with the old driver?

 

I will make a new thread for this...breakthrough in performance just happened this morning. I spent 6 hours tweaking and now look at my results

with an overclock of 859/1070 i got 15880
with non tweaked drviers

with my new tweaked drivers I get better Image quality and insane performance at 848/1060 I get 15960 proof below


the good news is ive saved the comands that I used to tweak the drivers so now everyone can benefit.

I got 18fps min stock drivers maxed

You might also want to add the core clock and memory clock to the OSD.
