    ACTUALLY READ THIS!!!

I really like 3rd perons, but FPSs are ok too i guess.
I have played crysis, cod4,and most of the standard FPSs.
3rd persons: masseffect (eventhough that is an rpg), GOW, R6V2..
I have played Maxpayne, hitman, UT3, Starwars games, steam games (source engine games)

Seriously Guys, read the darn post... stop suggesting stuff i said i have played (note, i added the maxpayne, hitman and everyhting after that right now).

Games I am thinking of trying:
    Stranglehold

edit: My fault, I thought you were asking which of those three you should play. Slightly rude to someone who was trying to help though; to each his own.

    Yes.

And that Outcast game has some hilarious graphics.

Honestly, I can't think of any other good ones... Was Jedi Knight on PC?

yeah... you could get the last jedi knight game. it was pretty good in its time, based on the quake 3 engine. (its a heavily modified quake III engine, looks a lot better but still long in the tooth by today's standards. but you can run it in 1920x1200 i bet.

Well, then you're out of luck with me. Consoles really hold the 3rd person shooters, it's kinda awkward on PC.

    1. Gears of War (warning before you buy its buggy like no other perare to look up some fix's for it. Once you get the fix's its such an amzing game!)

    2. Mass Effect ( Great RPG and great 3rd person action!)

    3. Tomb Raider games (Still love them even today great action and good puzzles)

What about the Metal Gears that are on PC. I belive that Metal Gear 2 is on the PC but Snake Eater (which was the best) is not.

There are plenty of ways to get MGS games, you just have to use your noodle.

I thought 2 was good but I liked 3 cuz it really explained a lot of the MGS story. 4 was a graphical masterpiece but if you haven't played or read about the MGS story, you would not understand what is going on. Also if you play through 4 without watching the cutscenes, there is only about 6 hours of actual gameplay.

I gotta agree, you really had to understand the whole "Liquid/Solid Snake" thing, along with Jack, and Sonny. The cutscenes were too beautiful to skip... (The Drebin ones seemed to take forever though...)

I've through MGS 4 3 times already and I'm trying to unlock everything I can so now I just skip the cutscenes since its like watching a movie 3 times.

You should try Rainbow 6 Vegas 2. And possibly Mass Effect. The world in Mass Effect is unbelievable and the story is just awesome.

KGann Basicly, RSV2 is a 3rd person shooter, since i cant imagine anyone surviving more than 5 secs without a cover (AKA 1st person mode), 90% of the game time the player is in 3rd person shooter, the rest of the time he is running to another area.

I played it on PS3, and I don't think I stayed in cover for 90% of the time, but I do see your point. I still think the OP is looking for an actual 3rd Person Shooter. Something along the lines of GRAW.

With an attitude like that, my suggestion is that you buy every game you can afford, because I doubt you're going to find very much companionship if that's typical of your approach.
