    Hi,

I need recommendations for a great outdoors animal hunting game. I know this genre isn't really popular around here but I really want to kill some moose, wild turkeys, bears, racoons and deer then hang their heads on the wall, via the simulated outdoors kinda way.

I was looking forward to Cabela's Trophy Bucks but IGN and GamesRadar completely trashed it with a 4.8 and 2/10 review, respectively. I was also browsing through Gamespot but most of the games there get mediocre reviews and are years out of date.

Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009 does not come out for PC. So does anyone know of recent (1-2 years old) PC hunting games?

P.S I prefer no fishing games please.

I actually play Cabelas Big Game Hunting 2007 on occasion and find it a decent hunting game. You may wanna try it out. I find the game rating sites to ALWAYS trash hunting and fishing games for some reason. I guess they are biased towards FPS' and MMORPGs and such.

I think this as more to do with those games usually being found in the $1 games at walmart...

Yes, because everybody knows all outdoor sports games, even the new releases, are automatically thrown in the $1 games at WalMart.

FarCry is now in the "bargain bin" does that make it a bad game? No. The bargain bin games are usually aged games that have passed their prime, but still quite playable.
