    I need some help with a Graphics card!

    Hey Notebook Forums.
    I need some help with a Graphics card: AGP 8x.

    It says i require 1GB of Ram but i only have 512MB of Ram
    So is it able for me to install the Graphics card even if i have 512MB of Ram and it requires 1GB of Ram?

    I need a responce pretty fast :)

    I doubt buying a new Graphics card, John.
    But i have 512MB Ram, and it says on the Graphics card box there is a text where it tells: "1 GB Ram Required".

    If the games says you need 1gb of system memory and you only have 512mb then the game will not work, but sometimes 1gb might be a recommended level and there might be a minimum requirements.

    what game do you have?????

    I found the minimum system requirements below

    * 512 MB RAM (1GB for Vista users)
    * 3D graphics processor with Hardware Transform and Lighting with 32 MB VRAM such as an ATI Radeon 7200 or NVIDIA GeForce 2 class card or better
    * DirectX-compatible sound card or motherboard sound capability
    * 15 GB free hard drive space
    * A keyboard and mouse are required. Input devices other than a mouse and keyboard are not supported.
    * You must have an active broadband Internet connection to play

    I think u guys have it all wrong...maybe.....
    Hephaz wants to install a AGP 8x Graphics Card that indicates that it it needs a minimum of 1Gb RAM..he ask if he can install it on a 512 Mb system when the driver requires 1Gb..(Correct e if i'm wrong Hephaz)

    I guess u can but it depends on the driver of ur AGP..
    What's the Graphics brand and model btw?
