I need your guys help with my Mobile 2600HD

Hey, Everyone tired to look i have tried to look all over google and i cant find what i am looking for. i am trying to a program that will let me save my video bios from gpu-z but i get a error saying "Bios reading not supported on this device" I have tired ati tools but it does not work on my computer it max's out my cpu and i have a T8100. my laptop is Fujitsu N6470. i am trying to find a program to save my bios so i can edit the core and memory speed's and so i can change my fan speed. i am ready to throw my laptop accross the room.

If someone can help me i would be thankful.

And why is Gpu-z Saying my Bios reading not supported on this device.

Create a botable usb stick using this guide: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=246530

Download atiflash 3.60 from here:
http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1123/ATIFlash_3.60.html

extract it in the flash drive, reboot, select boot from usb, type atiflash and choose the appropriate command.

 

Do you have more specifications of your hd2600?
Is it a XT or pro? and how many memory does it have?
i'm looking for a fujitsu hd2600 vbios..

 

This all sounds a bit risky to me, especially as these program are probably ment for the desktop cards. Can't you just use software in Windows?

 

Why would it be risky? A lot of people use it to read their mobility bios.. I read my old x700 with gpu-id and with atiflash and they were exactly the same, so it is possible and reliable..
I hope that Gulkor replys and i also hope that he sends his vbios.. So i hope i can get any image on my screen..

 

@Lieuwe Its a Ati mobile 2600HD 256mb DDR3 M76 core. Core 500/Mem 600 its a pro i belive. i can overclock it to Core 700/750 so its a XT. also my temps never go over 65c when gaming. i have tested to make sure its stable for 24 hours. and it never reseted or froze. so its stable. i used furmark to test it at these speeds the max temp i got with the gpu at %100 was 71c

@Steven87 i have a mobile bios reader. i have 3 differnt one's and i am reading which one is the best and i have a good idea


@lieuwe yes after i get a usb stick drive i will glady get you a copy so you can fix with your laptop.


Also i am going to learn how to restore my good bios if something goes sout hso if something happends i can do it with out the screen i also do my homework on something like this and i always have a back up.

My goal is to Change the Fan speed and the core and memory speed's so it will run cooler. i modded my gpu heatstink last. i put as5 on the cpu and as5 on the gpu i put copper with the gpu and the temps dropped a few C but the as5 has not set in.

 

Also who ever has a Fujitsu Lifebook N6470 or any Fujitsu laptop. i wanna know a few things as well. have long have you has the laptop and do you have any problems with the laptop? also what do you think of the build.

I like this laptop very much. this is my first laptop ever. but i have been modding desktop's for the past 2 years. so now i am modding the laptop. i like the build of the laptop. its builit very well. its very stable. it stays cool. i have also undervolted my cpu from 1.1375 to 0.9625. i do not get any BSOD's. yes the laptop is plain but i perfer the build of the laptop. but after a few months i am going to paint it midnight blue. but i have never painted a laptop or a desktop thats the only thing i have not done.

 

My fujitsu was of good quality, until the graphic card broke down.. (2 of my friends with the same notebook had the same problem after 2,5-3 years)
But i also undervolted my laptop and worked stable. Mine did his work for 3 years now (almost exactly 3 years, just 3 days under it ).
My laptop traveled a lot, in and out of my schoolbag and it got some scratches at the top case, but no big problems. The battery is still fine, i can still work 2 hours on it (in the beginning 2,5), so a wear of a half hour is not bad.

@Gulkor: That is the best news of the day and it gives me some hope . The only thing is, is that i hope it will flash because i couldn't blind read the vbios, it became 0kb with atiflash..

 

do you know how hot the gpu got? because i am wondering if Fujitsu used
M76 core's but they really are 2600XT's because i dont know if you hit xt speed's but i did. but 3 years will work for me. i think thats a good life for a laptop

 

My old x700 never came above 65 degrees celcius. I don't know how hot the 2600 will be because i didn't get it to work yet, thats why i need the vbios of it.. So i hope it will work then..
3 years is indeed a good life.. aspecially for the battery..

 

we'll with it o/ced my temp is 65c when i looked in everest it said my core was overclock 39% and my memory is 19% i wonder if my core will fry from that but i have not had any problem's with games or anything. i put some copper and as5 on the gpu and as5 on the NB/Cpu and i have noticed that copper and as5 seem to make the temp go up slower then before.

 

Did you manage to get the vbios from your card?
I need my laptop for my school and want to see if it helps.. Hopefully i will get an image on the screen with your vbios..

 

no i got to run to best buy. but my mother is in the hospital so i am more worried about her at this ponit. i did run some test on 3dmark05

500/600 1440x900 Score 6133 61c max

700/750 1440x900 Score 7932 68c max

this is just testing the gpu not the cpu.

I will see if i have time to run to best buy. to get the usb flash drive.

sorry not trying to sound like a jackass. but 3 doctor's told me they dont know what wrong with my mom so i am worried and got a alot on my mind right now. but i will do my best to stop by bestbuy tonight.

no i have not had the time to, get it yet. i have been taking care of my monther working and going to school. so it might be a few more days or so before i can do it

 

so you guys are going to best buy to get the laptop's bios? why?

 

i am going to best buy to get a usb drive so i can make a copy of my gpu bios. so i can mod the fan speed's and the core/memory clock's. because on my Fujitsu N6470 i have a 2600 256mb ddr3 it's clocked at pro speed's but i can do Xt's speed's no problem and my temps are not a problem so i am turning my pro in to a XT. and changing the speed fan so it will run cooler. when i have it at 700/750 and testing furmark with a 24 hour test it did not lock up or freeze. my highest temp with furmakr was 71c. when i game it's at 65c max 58c idea.

 

I still don't understand why you need to change ur vbios. You already achieved the clocks that you wanted w/o modding vbios. Also, mobile vbios don't have the logic for fan control tables, probably controlled through the motherboard side.

 

we'll if that is the case how would i mod the motherboard bios i want to change my gpu fan speed. my gpu has it's own heatstink/fan and my cpu has it's own heatstink/fan.

When do you think you got the vbios, because i'm almost desperate about my laptop.. I want to check if my 2600 works then, if not i am buying a new laptop.. So can you please give me more details on when you would have the vbios for me please?
