So I've been playing mostly FPS's and Racing games since I got my notebook.. Could any of you suggest other genres of games and examples (if possible) that I should venture into?![]()
I'm looking mostly averagely graphics-demanding games and (until I find out how to OC my card, ugh) perhaps it'll stay that way. Thanks!
PS I also played RTS games previously but I really don't have the interest (yet) to play them.![]()

How about RPG games? Old ones (not yet 3D) include Fallout 1 and 2, Baldur's Gate, etc...
New ones (already 3D) would include Morrowind, Oblivion and Gothic 1, 2 and 3. -
I'll check them out, I was looking into playing Fallout 3 anyway. -
Fallout 3 is more of an FPS than an RPG, but the previous two are true RPGs.
Oh, and Fallout 3 is good for an FPS (i.e. nice graphics, some shooting etc), but its RPG component is c r a p. The story is really short (something like 8 hours) and apart from that all you can do is roam the land. So if you want to change genre, don't play it. -
I love sandbox games like Oblivion and Garry's Mod you should try them

Have you ever tried of playing any RTS games? Games such as Command and Conquer are pretty new and have a pretty good storyline with the campaign modes. It's graphically pleasing.
Or better yet, try a game like Assassin's Creed. It's pretty wicked if you havn't tried it yet. -
Althoug, yeah, yeah, I just remembered Assassin's Creed.. I was thinking before that it won't cut 'coz it's set almost a thousand years ago, but I saw the graphics and, wow, wow. -

What about Dead Space? A nice mix of third person shooter and a little RPG element. Its still shooter, but not first person.

Dude if you haven't played the first two fallouts then true fallout fan is jelous - all that fun and adventure ahead of you while others went through it many dozens of times. Give these games a try and DON'T get disturbed by the graphics and pixel feast at the start - once you get sucked in to the plot and the world you won't be bothered by it, in fact you will find it somehow charming in these games that graphics sucks in them so bad in today's standards -
Maybe I'll give it a try, I'm sure I saw some shops here still selling them, I just hope the compatibility won't be a problem. -
How about trying your hand at some D&D based games? I found Neverwinter Nights 2 to be quite enjoyable, if not a little buggy. Still nothing defines character development and tactical battles like D&D.

Try the Monkey Island series. I think you'll find it hilarious and interesting. It's a point-and-click series from the 90's, so don't expect the graphics to blow you away, but everything about it is charming and engaging.

My 9600mGT DDR3 only does medium whilst in citys, when out of the densely populated areas i can bump some settings to high.
Whats your Cpu? It's quite cpu intensive too. -

I tried systemreqiurementslab.com with the game, and well, tell me dismay, I failed the minimum through only the CPU! (requires 2.6GHz dual core, I have 2.00)..but can I still run it though?
EDIT: Oops. So it requires a Dual Core which runs at 2.60GHz, and recommends a Core 2 Duo that runs at 2.20GHz..so mine's a Core 2 Duo that's at 2.00..will it do?come on talk about extremes.
