Hey everyone, first off I'd like to say that I've been reading these forums for a couple of months now, think they're great and check them daily for all of the new lappy info! :D

    As for my question:

I have a GO 7900 GS in my Dell E1705 and I am having problems installing any new drivers. (I have the 101.70Mobile Force installed from ExtremeG)

I have tried various drivers like 158.24, 160.03 and 165.01 but CANNOT get them to install on my computer??? I mod the INFs myself by just copy and pasting the two lines needed for the installer to recognize my GO 7900 GS. The installer asks if I want to "Continue Anyways" which I do. Everything seems to install fine but when the final step of the installer comes up (Restart now, or Restart later) it says my system HAS NOT been modified!

Like I said, this is the same with all drivers other than the 101.70 Mobile Force ones and was wondering if the knowledgable folks on this board could toss any ideas my way? Thanks in advance!

So I've tried the new drivers on Laptop2go and still nothing works. Does ANYONE have any idea why this would be?

I'm completely out of ideas.

Did you uninstall your old driver first and reboot? When you install the new drivers, you should be looking at a VGA screen resolution (640x480) in Windows.

The Nvidia application uninstalls them and installs them again before I fully boot into windows, I never see the desktop or anything. =\
