So I'm gonna get a tv and bring my xbox 360 to school. This is kinda changing my perspective on gaming. It seems like all the best games that come out for pc are also out for 360. I was looking at the m1530 but if i can just get all the games that I want would it be better to downsize to the m1330 or even a 12" laptop? I guess I might still want to play mmos on my pc but will I be missing anything if i cant game on my pc but have a 360?

You won't be missing much, honestly. I bought the M1530 because I wanted to be able to play games, but mostly because I wanted the computer to be this size - the M1330 would just have been too small. I'm a big man, and this computer is roughly the same size to me what an M1330 is to a 5'6" person.

If all you need is something to do e-mail, photos, ripping videos, watching videos, web-browsing, Microsoft Office, and a couple of other tasks, I recommend the M1330. You won't need higher than a T7250, although that would be nice to have. Make sure to get at least 2GB of RAM, through Newegg or otherwise. Probably not Dell because that'll cost you $125 vs. about $30 on Newegg.com.

If you've got a 360 and a TV, you're set for games. You won't have to buy new PC games.

The M1330 will do pretty much what you need it to, even at its low-end.

Actually, that's far off.. I don't see how you can say much of anything on PC is also on the Xbox360, I think it's the other way around.

Depends on what you're looking for. PC's have 90% of the console games, and will run on 8600 GT level hardware, so minimally you'll want a 15" laptop to get the 8600 GT. But then remember the PC can be used for general purpose tasks obviously, TV viewing with an adapter, and gaming.

Main advantage of gaming console is same machine multiplayer. I had loads of fun in college (ok, so we're talking 1990's) with my Amiga on games that could play two or more players simulatneously.

It's the opposite, and pc games have mods, better online community, you don't have to pay for online play... etc, and pc has a ton of games, it has the biggest library of games, and even emulation(love the ps2 emulator). the 360 just has shooter games(pc ports), ps3 has no games(just talladega nights) and the wii is nothing but minigames for soccermoms and soccerdads.
