Ok, first thing first I loved the game more than the first one. Psycho's character was pure genius, hearing him repeatedly saying muppets or that he is british made me laugh hard, and I particularly liked the more guns blazing approach though, I played most of the game cloaked :D ... I played it on a 256mb Mobility HD3650 at 1280x800 with everything on mainstream and my FPs were somewhat all over the placewith 30-50 in the closed spaces and 17-30 in open environments... But it was definetely more than playable most of the time
Now about the story... There were other americans wearing nanosuits on the island... WHAT???... Apparently there was also a bunch of air carriers in the area too... WHAT???... General Lee didn't die in the cavern collapse in the first game... HUH??? The Alien started leaving their base in mass before the nuke got dropped... Or the nuke wasn't dropped actually? I'm confused. JTAC propose Nomad as a pilot but in the first game the only time Nomad is on the carrier is after the sphere appeared and you met psycho there too, but in Warhead you are on the island pretty much for all that time... There are other things that bothered me but overall I liked the narration better in Warhead than in the original. In the end you feel like you've accomplished something important while in the first game, you kill the giant ship then what happens? Oh right, our main carrier has sunk, what do we do? Should we go back to the surviving fleet and try to plain a counterattack? No no no! Let's go back on the island into the sphere, WITHOUT ANY SUPPORT, with the useless civilian that'll die instantly... Why? "Because we have to finish the fight." I thought "that guy is a friggin' dumbass" when I heard that line.
The last battle and final cutscene was awesome. It was particularly funny to see Lee glancing a that giant ship then at his small nanosuit control remote then at the ship again and finally stand like he was saying "Aww **** it.". Sucks to be him I guess :D ... Psycho is cool, he's officially my favorite Crysis character.
Now I have to go start playing HL2 EP:2 seriously.

Glad to know you had fun. I just started WarHead today, and so far so good... except for the frames with shaders at "Gamer" :D

It's a parallel story, in case you didn't know. Wasn't Kyong the highest ranked officer in original Crysis? Lee was only in Warhead, iirc. Also, Nomad is qualified for several things including being a pilot, which seems like a prerequisite for being in Raptor Team.

She didn't want O'Neill to do the recovery, she wanted Nomad to do which implied that Nomad was on the carrier but the problem is that you meet Psycho as Nomad shortly after arriving on said carrier and before the nuke get dropped and you get you *** handed to you by a swarm of aliens... Which according to Warhead is not possible since in warhead you never get to set foot off the island until the end. And remember the sky full off alien going who knows where? That only happens after the nuke in the original story... those are some of the things that prevents you from precisely placing the events on the previous game timeline...

    >.> also the particle gun from warhead seemed 10X better than the tactical nuke gun in crysis. Did Psycho just forget to bring it? O_O' maybe he just wanted it for himself and was hoping Nomad would bite the dust....

Not only that but even the gauss gun was pretty crappy in the first game and only got to play with it when you had to protect the aircraft carrier where as in Warhead it can be found pretty much everywhere, hell even the koreans use it against you.... Pretty much one hit kill against everything. :D But the minigun is still as useless as before

one thing I still dont understand, whats up with the dialog and subtitle (during the black screen before a lot of levels) showing "four years earlier" how does that tie into the game?

I suppose they didn't pay that much attention to the chronology. Although, I'm sure there's some fair explanation for all of this. It's just been a while since I've beaten Crysis and I don't have time to beat it again.

Do you guys play on Delta? I've beaten both on Delta and I can tell you I used the Gauss Rifle so very much for both.

The video-less dialogue is just a flashback 4 years earlier which was some kind of Raptor Team Qualification Drill/Initial Mission since it has Psycho, Nomad, and O'Neil (where O'Neil screws up big time). Just gives you a better understanding of the three's past.

uhh, guys, remember the part where nomad was in a vtol when strickland died? well, remember the pilot got hit and nomad was the temporary pilot? he was still on the island as a pilot. meaning that he could have picked up psycho, since he was still on the island with a vtol, going to the ship at the same time and he was closer, since o neil had to go refuel his ****

Psycho was on the other side of the island, Nomad had to protect the other VTOL, and also had wounded onboard.

I think part of the story is missing, because when they saved the scientist after her vtol crashes prophet takes of with her in another vtol to the cruiser and nomad stays behind. >.> maybe its not the chronology they got wrong, maybe they weren't supposed to say Nomad was on the carrier.
