Whenever you use the wrong tool for the job, something is going to get messed up. Either the tool is going to break or malfunction, or the thing you are working on is going to break or malfunction.

If the objective is to have a relatively satisfying gaming experience, the i5-8250U and Intel iGFX are not the right tools for the job. To be fair, neither is the MX150. These tools absolutely have their place, but it's not in the gaming arena.

    Lol.

Yeah I realize they are not for gaming but I'm looking to do some light gaming via igpu . I'm getting a egpu next month probably a rtx 2060 but I want to play crysis 1 on the go

YouTube only shows 720p benchmarks with uhd 620 and only crysis 3

Mr. Fox That picture made me laugh hard. I didn't buy the Ideapad flex pro for gaming though but if I did that picture could make someone cry in laughter.

So I just got the Laptop it's basically a rebranded yoga 920 and as far as my intensive testing goes It's The best laptop I have ever owned Battery bar is reporting 27hours of battery life remaining with 720p video looped on youtube battery saver and screen brightness in half but still bright....Its just out of this world I can see it lasting 16 hours with normal usage. the i5 8250u and uhd 620 can play crysis with mixed settings high shaders at 900p 1080 p is like 15-20 fps in crysis 1. I didnt break any world records as usual but its close to papusans skydiver score I tweaked the gpu and cpu with throttle stop and thats probably why its reporting 27 hours I have it locked at 2.3 ghz all four cores and no power limiting of gpu. so as far as hardware goes its the best Iv'e come across and as far as looks think jennifer lopez with jennifer anistons face....its sexy period.

I bought it from b and h and if your in the market for a 2 in 1 i'm guessing this is the best the world can offer this side of the c930 and c940

Wow, bro... that's some crazy battery run time... 27 hours? Goodness... If you need to use battery power that is definitely pretty incredible.

Glad you got a kick out of that picture. It made me laugh when I found it as well.

Yeah But when you use it for anything else it goes down to 12 hours still good. I just tested battery life nd gaming under almost full load I got 5 hours reviewers are claiming 2.

they are probably running furmark for 2 hours....unrealistic scenerios

and just an update for people browsing around wondering about igpus these days it will run gta v at 1600x900 30fps and same for crysis 1 and 2 however with crysis 3 you will have no choice but to lower your resolution down to 720p

found someone else getting over 20hours

I haven't the notebook in front of me. From what I remember, around 100mv undervolt and maxed out power settings. Not much you can do outside this. And I don't use Speed-Shift on any of my machines. The type of Jokebook will determine how far it will perform. Some is locked down as forth Knox

All that happens is thermal throttling. Either due overheating Power delivery or Cpu running Apple/Aw temps :D People should be more worried about too hot Power delivery than the Intel chips itself. .

I'm a older hardcore gamer... I used to buy the latest and greatest and when I started tinkering with settings seeing ultra with a mixture of settings dailed down and greatly improved performance, the latest and greatest was no longer appealing. now that I have a mx150 laptop and a ultrabook it covers everthing just fine. I can play shenmue 3 and crysis ect and all the older games I keep coming back to.

Now when I game on uhd 620 I get stutters and when I game natively with the mx 150 I also get stutters and when I use a wireless keyboard and mouse I get input lag. Geforce Now and stadia are being bashed hard these days but when I use the laptops keyboard I get less lag through the streaming service vs a wireless keyboard. and less stutters than playing natively on underpowered hardware. but yet people still complain that stadia and ge force now is not the future. I tend to disagree. and its fine to be against the masses. Now yes my original plan was egpu/geforce now with my ultrabook but since geforce now works so well for me I will not be buying a egpu, its completely pointless.
