I don't think they can do that properly without scaling down the graphics. High ends comps are struggling with this game (albeit at higher resolutions) and theres simply no way that consoles would be able to handle the same amount of processing power required. Not to say thats its not possible but it would either take alot of work or be scaled down.

why not jus get it for the pc? it was made and optimized for it if they do scale it down and reconfigure it for a console it won't be as good of an expierence

Gamespot's review of the hype incarnation is a 9.5 with an editor's choice. I suppose if gamers like FPS then this will satisfy them for months since there are enough gameplay innovations to keep even ADD sufferers satisfied.

I am going to get both COD4 and Crysis, but I have money for one atm so its gonna be COD4. Crysis I will probably get later down the road. O and I trust ign for most of their reviews because they seem to be correct most of the time. Also, is it me or does Crysis look like a game that would be badass with a Co-op mode?

Hmm, well I don't want to start another thread just for this and if this is against the rule please delete it, however, it should not be considering I am not encouraging it nor and I distributing any links to it, this is just a fyi kind of thing.

Apparently Crysis was leaked *Cough*, starting yesterday they are everywhere on the net.Apparently someone at a game festival,( will get the name later, at school right now) got hold of the CD due to he was a technicians that was suppose to set up the demo machines. he claim to have got the CD from Crytek and sent it to a warez group.

hmm lets see, how many games have you seem that are pretty much the same as cod4? cod1-3. Whats so unique about this game? Crysis is truly unique. It's being reviewed much higher scores than cod4 too.... so i close my argument.

I still think it's a fancy FPS with more gameplay gimmicks and OTT eyecandy to give the tech-inclined orgasms when they see their high-end machines render the game at double digit fps, but that's just my opinion.

It states RIGHT in there that it ONLY got that score because of the graphics, it's biased, so anyone with an SLI 8800 or higher PC would make this a perfect 10 in graphics... stated by them. You can't review like that, game made for future hardware should NOT be rated lowly because our current hardware can't keep up, it's not the game devs fault...

Oh, and this is NOT a game I would want to be reviewed by anyone who can't play it the way it was meant to be played, which means if you can't run it at max settings, then don't review it.

Its like Vista which is also made for future....we are undergoing a revolution....

Crysis is ahead of its time so it can't be given very high ratings....all factors have to be considered

Problem is, less than 0.05% of the consumer market will be able to play Crysis at "max settings". I mean, how many people have these ultra high-end gaming (desktop) rigs, that are able to pull off such a feat?

But I agree with you, they should not have lowered the score because of the hardware requirements. So the review is biased, it should have got 90 at the very least.

PC is next year. Though all the reviews seem to give it an average or worse grade. Every review has the word repetitive thrown in there.
