The graphics cards in them are respectively, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT in the Y710, and the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 in the Y730.

Just need to make a choice between the two, but looking up the values on NotebookCheck.com -- I haven't had any luck determining which will be the better gaming platform between the two.

    Thanks very much!

    Y730
    New platform, new life
Y710 is out of time, just a bit cheaper than Y730
not a good deal for Y710 I think
PS: 3650 is better than 2600XT....especially when you are watching the HD movie

How much faster do you think?

I don't want to waste cash if it's not necessary :) I only play WoW, CS:Source, and a few other games... not too much, I have a desktop for that :)

    Much obliged!

Maybe faster, but just a little bit
Since it's 55nm of 3650, you can easily oc it
for the most important, its HD playing ability

in order to play HD movies you need a blu-ray drive. so what is the point of having HD if Y730 doesn't has a blu-ray drive?

my ati x1600 can play 1080p videos, and it's without "HD" tag.

Exactly, you should call you "be able to" play HD, not you can
a good GPU can free your CPU
