I am looking at buying this notebook, but I don't know what kind of graphics card it has!
Doing some googling - it seems that the G72 may instead be a chipset, not a GPU in it's own right.
Can anyone shed some light on the Asus S62J?
EDIT: Also, can you guess as to whether or not this barebones comes with the DVD burner included?
-
I believe that is the GeForce 7300 or 7400 graphics card. Also on the CD usually they don't come with them on that model.
-
The G72 chipset is the 7300-series, so it should be a 7300go card.
-
G72 was the development name for the 7300 series chip, like aurawold and mcponken said.
i havent got an idea if its delivered with the burner, that will probably depend on the shop you buy it from. -
Cheers fellas, I wasn't quite expecting a current generation GPU in the barebones, but I'm pleasantly surprised!
Now, hopefully the store will tell me tomorrow that it comes with the DVD burner, or that if I buy in bulk - they'd throw it in. -
just because its a next gen gpu, doesnt mean it will be able to play games particualy well, it is one of the lowest in the list after all.

there is a wikipedia article about Nvidia cards and their build names....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_NVIDIA_Graphics_Processing_Units
pretty nifty article -
I know well enough that the 7300 is at the bottom of the scale - but it sure beats integrated graphics!
Thanks for the link Aivyn! It's nice to see stats for my Riva TNT2 and 6600GT in the same place
Identify this GPU!
