    Should my desktop 8800 Gt be idling at 66c? 150 degrees??? seems quite high to me

    Mine idle's that high too. You can download N-tune and overclock the fan to 100% speed then it idles around 50-60°C but its annoying to do. Also inb4 thread closed go to desktopreview.com

    Take apart the heatsink, blow it clean w/ compressed air and use AS5 or equivalent as TIM.
