To make a long story short, I bought Arkham City from GMG. Capsule is giving me issues with my dual HDD setup (capsule is installed on 1 HDD but it DL's and installs on my SDD), its also giving me problems trying to update the dx11 patch. Even manually extracting the game to a different location is causing problems. So basically i'm looking for a place where I can DL it and just use my key.
-
Well, keys are designed for downloads from specific sites.
I'd say if your key is designed to be downloaded from Capsule, it should be the only place you could download the game. -
I have the game linked to my GFWL account but I dont think you can DL games through that. If i torrent it, cant I just put my key in?
-
If keys aren't source-specific, then it should work. But keep in mind torrented games often have cracked .exe files and other illegal shenanigans, not to mention malware.
-
But talking about stuff like this usually end with a closed thread. -
Ok thanks for your help.

I gave away two DVD copies of Batman Arkham City during Christmas time on these forums. I could not find a way to download and activate it anywhere. I ended up having to ship out the games instead.

I use DVDs like this for target practice.
Buy DVD, install, add serial number, give permission to instal Sony Securom!
Then; you, the legal buyer your are, has to keep the DVD in as a key disk.
They forgot to include the handcuffs that atach to your security slot? -
Here is a list of CD keys which steam will accept.

neither steam or origin accepted the key, i didnt think they would but it didnt hurt to try. And I really dont want to buy just a game disc when I already have the key.

Torrent is your friend then.

I'm not sure that the retail game disc would accept the key either. I believe your key is specific to capsule and GMG, and the boxed retail versions are on a separate set of keys.
I would contact tech support from GMG. It seems like you have software problems which should be solvable. -
Yes, contact tech support. There's nothing anyone here can do for you.
You may explore other alternatives whereby Google would be your bestest of friends. We're talking serious BFFage.
Also, contact your local representatives and demand that they fight to return consumer rights with regards to digital media so piracy won't be the better choice 9 times out of 10.
Have to close this thread. Don't be mad.
If I have a legit CD Key, where can I DL the game from
