If I went from 174.31 back to 169.09 would it be better?

Just wondering...I have a 8600m GT 512 and people talk about 169.09 being the best driver...i have the latest driver 174.31 and it works good so far but would i see a performance increase if I went with 169.09?

I went from 169.09 to 174.16 and found better performance.

But then again alot people get mixed results..

If you do plan to change drivers i recommend you use driversweeper to clean out traces of the old driver before you load the new one

you don't need new a new driver every 2 weeks....

just get one and stay with it... they are all the same.

or use DNA-drivers (the latest are based on drivers that came out 7 months ago) and actually get real performance, not just 1-2 fps more

Dude, apparently 169.44 is somewhat better than the 174.xx drivers.
I`m gonna test Crysis and report back.

Well, definitely an increase in fps.
    Using patch 1.2
Got at least 3 more fps in 'danger' areas and some 5-6 fps in other areas.
Now I can run it at 1024x768 at over 20 fps. There is the ocassional dip in the med 15s, when a scene changes, but after that it`s perfectly smooth.
    Sweet :D

QUake 4, I have it, but not installed. I can`t seem to find the dvd .
Dawn of war, I don`t have it.
But all the other games I`ve tried boosted performance, it that is any indication :D
