Let's say you were exiled in the middle of nowhere for five years. No internet connection, but have a well equipped PC with pretty much any peripherals you'd need, and only allowed five games. Which five would you choose? I guess this comes down to the best games with the best replay value, and consume the most amount of time.
For me it would probably have to have to be:
(1) Sins of a Solar Empire
(2) Civilization 4 (with expansions)
(3) Falcon 4 Allied Force
(4) IL-2 1942
(5) Borderlands (because sometimes you'll just need to blow stuff up)
-
funny, I first figured grand theft auto which ever one then maybee a gabrial knight game and a kings quest one also, my favorite role playing games and can take ages to find your way threw them all. Then I suppose maybee a fifa and a world in conflict or something.
-
Tough one there... in no order:
GTA4/+EFLC
Civ 5 (after the upcoming patch!)
Sins of a solar empire
GalCiv 2 complete
Garry's mod
Pretty sure you'd go full on crazy, even with those games haha. -
#1 Definitely Just Cause 2
#2 NBA 2K10 or 2K11
#3 Alpha Protocol
#4 Probably NFS Shift
#5 I'd Say Red Faction Guerrilla, very good game just to blow stuff up (better than Borderlands in that category IMO!) -
I'm stuck for just five years?
I'm bringing quality games, which have been trapped in my backlog, unplayed or unfinished. That way, I can space them out over many months, so I'm not bored of repeats by year two.
From the depths of backlog hell:
- Dragon Age
- Sacred 2
- The Witcher
- Fallout 3
- Risen
Might smuggle Dawn Of War 2 in a body cavity. -
Civilization IV Complete - empire building and time killing
Fallout 3 - lots to see, do, blow up
Freedom Force - humor
Freelancer - when I need a story
FreeSpace 2 - space sim goodness -
-
1) Fallout 3
2) Hitman 2
3) GTA San Andreas
4) Live for speed (Bet no one has heard of that one before)
5) Minecraft -

I already thought about this a hundred times over.
I opted to just have a SNES emulator and MAME with all the ROMSprobably less space needed than a single PC game and thousands of games to play at my fingertips.
But if you insist that I hadddd to pick 5 PC titles.
Unreal Tournament 3 since I can always go up against bots and emulate online offering a lot more replay than play & beat titles.
Torchlight - good dungeon crawler that you can keep playing diablo style to get better equipment.
Starcraft 2 - VS AI can still be fun and having a good mix of genre is good if I am stuck with only 5 games.
Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box - A run open environment racing game, just drive around and have fun.
5th one I can think of yet. -
Elder Scrolls: Morrowind
GTA: Vice City
L4D2
Dragon Age: Origins
Rome: Total War -
Starcraft 2
GTA 1
NFL 2Kxx
Gears of War
Civilization 2 -
Diablo III
Diablo III
Diablo III
Diablo III
Diablo III -
1. Borderlands plus the DLCs
2. Entire half life series, from 1 to episode 2 (and 3 when it comes out in like 10 years)
3. Company of Heroes
4. Torchlight or Diablo 2
5. Battlefield Bad company 2 or CoD 4 MW1 or MW2 for graphical enjoyment. -
1. Fallout 1
2. Fallout 2
3. Half Life 1
4. Far Cry 1
5. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines -
1) Civilization IV (or V as soon as it gets expansions)
2) Europa Universalis III (with all expansions)
3) Hearts of Iron II (with all expansions and the Cold War and CORE mods)
4) Victoria II (with all expansions)
5) Titan Quest (with Immortal Throne Expansion)
I have a very strong tendency toward highly replayable strategy games. -
1) Grand Theft Auto - Vice City
2) Star Trek: Bridge Commander
3) 007: Nightfire
4) FarCry
5) CnC: Red Alert 2/Yuri's Revenge -
1. Oblivion
2. Portal 2
3. Diablo 3
4. Orange box (not cheating. lol.)
5. Some brain teaser game with thousands of puzzles. I know they have them somewhere. -
5 years with no internet and only 5 games allowed??? D: That's simply not acceptable...
I can only think of GTA4+EFLC and Dragon Age Origins, and maybe Witcher just because it takes a long time to finish if you do every single side quests. -
Dragon age origins
Gta San Sndreas
Gta 4 + all DLCs
Medieval total war + all expansions
Mafia I
I would also probably choose titan quest over total war. -
Civilization 4 Complete (- Colonization)
Witcher Enhanced Edition
Tropico 3 + Absolute Power
Heroes of Might and Magic V Complete
Neverwinter Nights -
Mafia I
Bioshock 1
Bioshock 2
COD: MW 2
Max Payne II -
Dragon Age
The Witcher
Diablo 3
Dungeon Siege 3
Mass Effect -
company of heroes
mass effect 2
empire total war
heroes of might and magic 5
civ4 or civ5 -
GTA IV + the EFLC DLC + Realizm IV 6.2 Mod + Random missions Mod.
Saints Row 2 + Gentlemen Of The Row Mod + SR2 Poweertools speedfix.
(Nothing else is required but the 3 more I would chose would be)
Just Cause 2 + Mods
Red Faction Guerilla
BattleZone 2 + Mods FE / FS -
Ummmm, I'd have to say that I would definitely have an SNES emulator with CHRONOTRIGGER.
Just the soundtrack alone is worth your weight in gold. -
Morrowind
Civ 5
Fallout 3
Diablo III (not out)
WoW single player mode (is there such a thing?) -
Baldurs Gate 1&2
NWN 2
DA:O
Civ 4 or 5, probably 5
All games with all mods, expansions, and DLC installed -
Morrowind and Oblivion (which would allow me to "cheat" by changing the mods to have a different game each time I play).
Orange Box
Plants v. Zombies
Namco Museum
If you could only have five single player games....
