I am debating which game to buy between now and x-mas, here is my list, if you could only buy 1 which 1 would you buy and why?

    S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky: Sep. 5

    Spore: Sep 7

Crysis Warhead: Sep 16 (don't really want, didn't enjoy Crysis)

    Witcher : Enhanced Edition : Sep 16

Brothers in Arms - Hells Highway : Sep 23

    Far Cry 2: Oct 21

    Fallout 3 : Oct 28

Tom Clancys - End War: Nov 4

Call of Duty - World at War - Nov 11 (don't think I'd want it)

GTA 4 - Nov 18 (have not played it yet...)

Prince of Persia - Nov 18

    Left 4 Dead - Nov 20 ( <3 Valve)

So yeah there are a lot of good (hopefully) PC games coming out, which ones are you guys looking forward too the most and why! And if you don't mind tell me which one would be the wisest investment for me. About my gaming habbits
    - Played the HL2 series for the first time last Christmas break and loved it
    - <3 Orange Box
    - <3 Bioshock
    - Like Halo series (still play Halo PC)
    - Liked Assassins Creed to a point (near the end was too repetitive and hard to enjoy roaming around)
    - Have not played A LOT of the games in the list (as in previous versions and such)

    -TNK

EDIT: How about games for '09

    My hopefuls -
    Mafia 2
    Half-Life 2: Episode 3
    Bioshock 2

Of the ones you listed, I'm most interested in Fallout 3.

It's kind of hard to say...
So much difference between people and their genre preference.

I'd say Far Cry 2 because I saw Far Cry 1 at a friends house and was very much impressed but I never could play it. Far Cry 2 is going to be a beauty and I like the features + it's got an ownage level editor.
Brothers in arms would be my 2nd pick.
    Prince of Persia 3rd.

But then again... you can't really compare. Say I would enjoy the adventure genre more than shooters then Prince of Persia would be my 1st pick... see where I'm going with this?

I'd say Far Cry 2 because it'll be a good shooter experience to add to your list, though if you want something different (which might be the case if shooters are the only thing you've played recently), then pick something else.

I'd say Fallout 3 even though it seems you're leaning more towards FPS games. It's supposed to give users the freedom of how they want to play. Might not even have to shoot your guns at all (but that'd be boring)!

Spore would be quite a change from all the games you've listed playing, but they've got that 3 install limit crap. I'm steering clear from it until I know how the patching system will work and see how easy it will be to do stuff that I can't mention in this forum.

    Far Cry 2, because I like non-linear detailed FPS's.

I can download the Witcher: Enhanced for free and I'll definitely be doing so, which leaves Spore as my only potential purchase since I don't like genres for the others.

im split between farcry 2 and fallout 3. non linear fps ftw, and i love rpgs, and this one looks special. hmmm.... if one was rated t and the other rated m id buy the one rated m and have my family get me the rated t one (my parents wont buy rated m games lol) but i think they are both rated m. hmmm.... far cry 2. oblivion could hold my rpg interest for another 3 months.

now personally, im gonna buy both the week they come out

I'm stuck between L4D and Farcry 2. I'm definately buying all of those games except the witcher which looks increadibly boring, but out of those, stuck between L4D and Farcry 2. Farcry 2 looks like one of those games I'm going to have alot of fun playing, but then again, I LOVE co-op games, and after watching every HD video I can find of L4D at all of these events, I can tell this is going to be one hell of a great CO-OP experience.

My mood changes monthly between FPSers and others. SO, depending on my mood, it would be either Far Cry 2 or Fallout 3. Too bad Diablo 3 won't be out this year, because it would be my one choice above all others.

Am I the only one looking forward to EndWar (for my 360)? I want to see how well developed the voice command system will be.

Other than that Fallout 3 is on my list as well, since seeing pics of it, I have gotten an interest in it and am looking forward to it.

My vote goes for Fallout 3. I know that game is gonna give me laughs to last till Christmas!

Both Witcher: Enhanced Edition and Prince of Persia 4 are also on my lists though.

Out of those games you listed, I think Prince of Persia gets my attention the most. I love art in games, like Okami; which was amazing (brilliant music as well).

For me, Fallout 3 hasn't impressed me from the gameplay I've seen, and the barren waste-land looks dull (though not all the game is there).

Crysis Warhead looks good. I've played through Crysis nearly 5 times and it's great. Warhead looks more of the same, which isn't bad, but it seems more focused on action. Hopefully they get the pacing right. But it is going to be very short.

Just to make sure there isn't any confusion. You are downloading it for free (like me) because you already have the original release so can download the Enhanced Edition as a huge patch from the developers. The Witcher is a great game, and I can't wait to get back into it as I stopped playing it once I heard of this.

Exactly, I'm not breaking any forum rules by stating the above for those who know (like yourself) what I'm referring to.
