If you were hesitating to buy the Orange Box because you've already bought Half-Life 2 and/or Episode 1 and you feel like you'd kind of be getting the shaft for paying for the same game twice.

    Don't. Don't hesitate.

When you assign it to your Steam ID it gives you the option to give your existing HL2 games to a friend by sending them an email/invite to their email. They get the game for free from you, you've done your good deed for the day, and your money wasn't wasted in any way.

This may be common knowledge for some. I just wanted to help make it common knowledge for more.

So give the gift of gaming and go get the Orange Box NOW!

Is $5 really enough for you to change your mind? Or even $10? Personally, I think it was money well spent. It's a great compilation that will give me lots of play time, and I'm all about getting the most game for my money.

Actually, the Canadian dollar is stronger than the American USD. The manufacturers have just yet to slash their prices, so you're paying more out of your pockets for no reason. Sony actually cut the price of their PS3 to make up for that, so hopefully others will follow suit soon. I know I'd hate to be overcharged...

You could always buy Orange Box in Thailand for $20. Support the Black Market!

soooooooooo even though its way cheaper to buy the orange box VS buying the games separately(something like $100 if bought separately) you going to hold out because of $5???

Well, I think what they'll be gifting you is one of the older half-life games since they already have it too. Not HL2:Ep 2, Portal, or TF2.

Exactly. Each of the new games: Episode 2, Portal, and TF2 are easily worth $15 each, if not more. So $50 is reasonable.

I picked it up... it's awesome for the price and runs great. Part of me bought it because I support companies bundling a whole bunch of [good] games together for a low price. Especially including Portal, not a full blown game like I've seen before but an entirely new concept which is really cool.

Honestly, people shouldn't feel bad if they already have HL2 and Episode 1. I mean think about it, you are still getting 3 new pretty stellar games for the price of one. Still a heck of a deal if you ask me.
