    Hello all,

When I go into the bios it does not allow me to increase the video memory like any other normal laptopp allows you to do, I called dell for help to increase it to at least 32MB and dell said "sorry thats the way it was sold, thats the way it will stay"

I really need to get this changed, I dont care if I have to wipe the pc completly clean from dell period, Bios change, OS change, hacks ect....

someone please helpp me, if not I will be selling this piece of crap, Even my 399.00 dollar Toshiba lets me change the video memory and this 1200 dollar laptop doesnt.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, your stuck with what you have.

The intel integrated graphics solution automatically adjusts itself to how much video memory it itself needs, you cant set it yourself.

That card is not for gaming, so I do think you would'nt need to have more video memory anyways.

Sell, Sell, Sell!!! And next time buy a notebook with a dedicate graphics solution!!! :)

As posted, the GMA950 (your graphics card) dynamically allocates the amoutn of video memory it needs.
By the way, your LCD is not in its regular resolution - go into Desktop Properties, Settings tab, and put it to 1280x800. It will be much sharper.

the notebook is not a piece of crap. you made the mistake of buying a notebook with an integrated gpu and then tried to game on it.

take the time to research your options before you buy and you won't find yourself in this situation, but don't blame the computer.

you can try to sell the machine on ebay or our buy/sell/trade thread, but you won't make much money

in any case, even if you could change the memory allocation, it would make pretty much zero difference. video memory doesn't help much; it's the core that counts.
