so apparently I can't swap out my gpu in my laptop so what are some good ways to increase my laptops gaming performance without swapping the gpu. Right now I've got a hp pavillion dv9000. 2 gigs ddr2 ram dual core amd turion processor. I want to be able to play Bioshock on low settings and FEAR somewhere around medium/high (right now FEAR runs on minimum)

    1. Read the stickies before you post.
    2. You didn't even list your GPU.

No chance for BIOSHOCK. FEAR at lowest is playable.

There really isnt much your going to be able to do.

There are some obvious things like minimize the processes that run in the background. Make sure you computer is clean of bloatware ect. But other then that there isnt much you can do. You're talking about a 4+ year old graphics technology in your notebook. You could always buy a console =p

4gb memory will help, but with that computer, don't think it can take anything above 2

There are no options to make bishock playable on that computer, even at lowest settings on the most powerful IGPs it will only average 15fps or so. You'll have to look into buying a new laptop if you really want to game in class, or you could just get a console.

Or just skip class. What's the point of going if you're not mentally there?
