Which driver should I get? The latest -- 169.09?

Also, rivatuner -- what are stable settings?

    And yes, Jean...

Nuuu! Orange Box keeps crashing on me. My settings are all high, without AA. It runs incredibly smooth, until maybe 4-5 mins, and it dies.

    Suggestions?

Might be drivers. Could be overheating as well. Also, is it happening in other FPS games?

What are your temps and what ver drivers are you using?

Odd, it works perfectly now! Btw, how would I be able to check my videocard temperature?

    Also, I'm using 168.25 I believe.

OH. And how would I overclock it? I have Rivatuner, but I don't see how I could overclock. I'm probably just blind.

x2. I'm trying to OC with 169.04, but I keep getting the same 3DMark scores, even with well over double clock speed from normal.

First of all, that is way too high of clockspeed. You can get a 20-25% overclock depending on your individual card, but doubling it will likely destroy it. You're fortunate that it hasn't been working.

I've been using nTune to overclock the video card. Once installed, you can go to the nVIDIA Control Panel and choose "Adjust GPU Settings" from the new "Performance" tab, and then choose "Custom Clock Settings". Haven't tried it with Rivatuner, so I can't say exactly how to do it from there.

It is highly recommended that you increase you frequencies in small increments, checking for stability each time. At first you can probably safely jump to around 525/425 without any danger, as that overclock almost always works, but thereafter you should execute caution in overclocking. The limit for each individual card is different. Some people have achieved 600/500, but for others it's 580/475, for others even less. You are certainly not going to double your clock speed.

Read sig. Got it there, however it became extremely unstable a crashed upon loading BF2. Underclocked it a bit and it became stable. Now I'm running stock clocks, and everything is fine. I'd suggest just a small OC as opposed to being overzealous.

I overclocked it to 620/1240/500. And the temperature goes to about 55. Is that okay?

What's the safe zone for temperatures?

Seems okay, I've heard up to 80 is okay.
But once mine gets to 70 C I normally just turn it off.

Why is that bad? With ATI tool I'm averaging 55-60 degrees C while playing. It seems like it's running stable.
