Hi guys , i played COD4 (Call of duty 4) on this laptop with Winxp before , and i was ranging around 23-35fps. Now , i tried WinVista , with 153.31 and 101.63 , my game loading is 2 times slower , i get very bad FPS , ranging 12-25fps. At the begining of the logo , i get as bad as 11fps !!! Then it gets better ... but come on, it was just a video , i din't lag before. I is clocked and was clocked at 580 / 480. I have installed Direct X end-user november , i really can't figure out this lag ... or is this the difference between Vista and XP ...? Please help , i want to enjoy my game =(

Get used to the difference between Vista and XP in gaming performance. Maybe Vista doesn't your overclock settings so this could be causing you problems. Try updating to 169.04 and see if it helps as well.

I was getting what seemed like decent performance with Dell's stock drivers (non-OC'ed) from June 14 and Vista, didn't measure the FPS, though. I think it was High settings without antialiasing or anisotropic filtering. If you're trying this on max, try turning stuff down. Or try playing at less than native resolution - 1280x800 worked well, I don't know about 1680x1050, though.

Get the beta 169.04 drivers from laptopvideo2go.com They give awesome performance compared to those crappy 155 series.
