Hi!
I´m thinking about buying a Dell Inspiron 6400 with this spec:
Intel® Core 2 Duo T5600 (1.83GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 667MHz FSB)
2 GB DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHZ, 2 DIMM
80GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive
256MB ATI MOBILITY RADEON® X1400 HyperMemory
1) Is this 256mb ATi X1400 a dedicated Graphic Card, or is it integrated, and if it is integrated, does it make a big difference??
2) Can i play games like Battlefield 2 with a decent FPS at medium-graphs??
3) Should i upgrade to a Intel Core 2 Duo 2.00Ghz (+US$100 )??
4) Is it easy to buy from dell webshop?? Does anyone had any trouble with that?
Thank u all!!!!!!!!

The Mobility X1400 is a low to middle range card that performs okay for the price. It may be able to play Battlefield 2142, but a stronger graphics card, like a Mobility X1600/X1700 or nVidia Go 7600/7700 is much more suited to playing games at respectable and playable levels. If you can afford it, then it will be a better option to go for a notebook like that. Complete an FAQ in you want some other options on notebooks to purhcase.
An upgrade to a faster Core 2 Duo processor, is largely dependant on the tasks you want to perform on the notebook. For example, and upgrade would help, if you want to encode or video edit, and those are processor dependant tasks, whereas playing a game or simply surfing the Internet and word processing, are tasks which are dependant on some other limiting component, or do not require processing power at all. I haven't personally bought from the Dell's webshop, but many other people have, and I don't think they have any problem with it.
