Well I promised benchmarks, I couldn't believe how much garbage my Inspiron 6400 came loaded with. At idle sitting on the desktop, it only had 500 megs (out of 1 gig) of ram free. I ran 3dmark 05 and it crashed within the first test. I couldn't browse to file shares without disabling Norton Internet Security.

After formatting and installing drivers from scratch with a fresh copy of XP, I got a 1975 in 3dMark 05, which I thought was pretty respectable.

    T5500, 1 gig 5300, 120gig 5200rpm hd and x1400. I will post up game benchmarks soon.

I can't believe how well this thing runs newer games!!!

    FEAR 1024x768, MEDIUM SETTINGS:
    FPS: Low: 20, Average 35, Maximum 67
    (Definitely playable at medium settings)

    FEAR 1024x768, HIGH SETTINGS:
    FPS: Low: 11, Average 19, Maximum 36

    Doom3 1024x768 High Settings
    FPS: Low 15m Average 35+, Maximum 60+

Well that is all for now, I will post more up tomorrow.

You know taht with the latest FEAR patches you can run it at 1280x800? I went down to about 30fps average when I did though.

And those Doom 3 numbers look a little shaky, what drivers are you using? I can average around 50fps high settings with catalyst 6.11's.

I will have to apply the latest fear patch, I was hoping they would support wide screen. As for the Doom 3 numbers, that was just what I observed, it seemed like the longer I ran the game the better the fps were. I plan on trying out BF2 tonight, what can I expect?
