Battlefield 2142 has no interest running on my 6400, and i am sure its to do with the pretty basic card the laptop came with.

Can anyone tell me whether the card can be relatively easily replaced and/or point me in the direction of a tutorial and, if so, which cards i should consider?

    thanks

If you configured the notebook with the I950 graphics chip, then you are out of luck and cannot upgrade. If you configured it with the X1300, you can only upgrade to the Dell X1400. If you already have the X1400, you're at the 6400's glass ceiling.
