The current package comes with x1300 by default. To upgrade to x1400 I need to put in an extra 100 CAD.

What are the differences between the two cards? Is there a huge difference is graphics? Is it worth the additional 100 CAD?

Yes it is worth the upgrade. Especially if you are planning to run Vista in the feature.

I have the X1400 in my Toshiba and I can play Counter Strike: Source at the highest settings possible with perfect performance (as far as my human eye can tell). The only time I get any weak performance is when my wireless connection starts getting crazy. The x1400 is a good card, I'd get it in a heartbeat.

I agree.. I play mine on max settings.. Only problem is I run out of memory a lot due to it sucking memory...

X1400 owns all games I like..

I know you weren't talking to me but just for everyone's reference I run my system with a little over 1GB (1024MB + 256MB included = 1280MB or 1.25GB) and it never lags for me.
