    Hello everyone.

I am planning on buying this laptop but I was wondering how well the geforce 7800 go will run Everquest 2 without having to OC it. If anyone is playing or tested Everquest 2 with this card please post your experiences.

Another question. How safe is to overclock this laptop video cards? Since I heard the 7800go comes underclocked. I have never tried overclocking anything on a laptop because I fear that I can damage some component knowing that laptops normally run kinda hot.

Since at stock clocks its roughly equivalent ( a little faster than ) the 6800 Go in the 9300. I'd say unless theres significant SMP improvement that at stock clocks you can run smoothly at 1280 x 1024 in HP with 16x AF or maybe 1600 x 1200 in HP with 16x AF.

Overclocking the 7800 Go since apparantly its significantly underclocked doesn't sound like it would be very damaging and you can get probably a 50-70% OC without worrying about stability or heat to much.

I would not overclock the card if you don't have to.

The Go7800 is powerful enough that you shouldn't have to worry about anything. It can play that game fine.

if you have to OC the 7800 to play EQ2 then something is wrong lol , i played EQ2 on a Geforce 2 TI 4200 128mb in my old desktop at medium settings.
